Ashley & Jamie { Country Love Affair }

A few months ago I was asked by the wonderful husband and wife team Michelle and Michael Blair to help them shoot a wedding here in the Nashville area. They have been so kind as to take me under their wing and show me the ropes a bit of the Nashville wedding scene, and I could not be more grateful to them!  This was gorgeous wedding of Ashley and Jamie, to totally head over heels in love with each other people!

Check out those boots! So adorable! And that rock! Ya done good Jamie!

 Such a casual, light hearted wedding, it was very refreshing to shoot a simple beautiful on for my first wedding here in Nashville!

A big thank you again to B & B portraits for letting me tag along with them!! You guys are awesome and I look forward to shooting with you in the future!

Winter by the Water

Sometimes..okay who am I kidding...often times if I am bored during slow season I make Tim and my friends dress up,  and play model for me. We got through the whole thing..styling, location scouting, the works. It not only helps me with practice but also helps get people more comfortable in front of the camera ( which they already should be because their hanging out with a photographer 24/7).  This time things took a little more of a turn and they dressed me up also!

       This location was just gorgeous...there was this old brick wall in the middle of  field I       made Tim pull over quick and snapped a few shots of Jessica, she was just as excited about it as I was!

I giggle more than my own good sometimes! This may have been the time Jessica was dancing behind Tim to get me to smile.
Tim looks so serious..but it was really hard to make him that way through this whole shoot!
And lastly my boots..because dang how cute are these!!

Adirondack Adventure

Every winter (okay so for the past 2 years...) Tim and I really love going camping in the winter time. There is just something so cozy about a tent, and the warm fire. Maybe not the really really cold mornings..but the food is always good!! We drove back to New York this past October, we decided it would be our last trip before I started a new job and really buckled down on things. We took two days away from phones, radios, crazy family members and just breathed. Moose river planes is hands down one of my favorite places on Earth.  The water, the trees..oh my gosh the smell of PINE!

There is something oddly comforting about the silence that the Adirondack Mountains  provide.

My lazy mountain chair...with my tree broom that became VERY  handy..

The Trees are always so tall, it makes me feel like a kid again.

I'm still hell bent on finding a place like this in Tennessee, although I think it may be tough one. But for now..at least I still have some pine needles hiding in my boots!
